Introduction
The Manage Codes section is located in the Admin dropdown menu, under Manage Codes. This is where all the settings for various codes live, such as profile codes for setting affiliation types and relation types, or revenue codes for creating adjustment types and setting up payment types.
Below is a breakdown of each section on the Manage Codes page, with relevant links to specific help articles on each code or section.
Overview of Manage Codes Sections:
User Codes:
- User Roles: This code is used to permit certain profiles to be able to access various types of data in the MC Trade database.
Profile Codes:
- Profile Status: These codes identify the primary status, type, level, or role of a profile.
- Affiliations: These codes help to categorize profiles into any corner of the database, whether it be affiliating the profile with a committee or a discount code, and more.
- Affiliation Types: These codes create categories to organize Affiliation Codes.
- Relation Types: This code is used to define the relationship type between profiles, such as Employee/Employer.
- Phone Type: This code organizes various types of phone numbers for contact records.
- Address Type: This code organizes various types of addresses, such as delivery or office address.
- Email Type: This code organizes various types of email addresses, such as work or personal email.
- Contact Types: This code is used to record contact history with individual or organization profiles.
- Custom Fields: This section is used to create new custom codes for recording various types of data within a profile.
- Entity Types: This code allows organizations with several Entities to configure different categories to classify them.
- Committee Types: This code is used after a committee has been created, and is used to categorize different types of committees.
Member Codes:
- Member Source Codes: These codes are used to help track member acquisitions and the source of those memberships.
- Benefit Types: These codes allow different types of benefits and offers to be applied to a profile.
- Certification Activity Sources: This code is used to track CEUs earned outside of MC Trade's event registration module.
- CEU Credit Type: This code allows CEUs to be added to events and for certifications to be tracked on profiles.
- Referral Type Codes: This code creates custom types of Referrals that can be used when adding a Referral to a Profile. For example, Member, Advertisement, etc.
- Category Codes: These codes are used to classify members within Listing Records and the Directory.
- Sub-Categories: These codes are used in conjunction with Category Codes to further classify members.
- Member Activity Codes: These codes track a member's activity in your database, from joining to dropping and everything in between.
- Sales Opportunity Lost Reasons: This code tracks the reason a sale opportunity may have been lost.
- Sales Opportunity Probabilities: This code tracks future probable sales opportunities.
- Sales Opportunity Sources: This code tracks the source of a sales opportunity.
Event Codes:
- Event Types: This code is used to classify and organize different kinds of events.
Task Codes:
- Task Types: This code is used to organize types of tasks.
- Project Types: This code is used to classify types of projects.
- Project Template Tasks: This code is used for projects that are repeated often. Once set, selecting a Project Type will trigger the tasks associated with it.
Revenue Codes:
- Revenue Items: This code refers to products or services being sold. Each code created represents an item or service purchasable by members and non-members using the database.
- Adjustment Types: This code is used to update an invoice, either to reduce the amount owed or to refund an invoice amount.
- Class Types: This code relates specifically to QuickBooks Desktop. Class relates to revenue items to group related transactions together in QuickBooks reporting.
- Payment Types: This code refers to the type of payment used, such as credit card, PayPal, cash, etc.
- Payment Source Codes: This code is used to sort how the money from a revenue item is received.
- Account Codes: This code is used to classify accruals (the money expected to be received in the coming fiscal window) and is later marked off when the money is or is not received.
- Related Revenue Items: This code is used to create additional revenue items offered to the customer at checkout and creates automatic invoice charges.
- Intacct Locations / Departments / Journals: These codes sync the information from MC Trade to your Intacct account.
- Pledge Campaign Types: This code is used in conjunction with the Pledge Campaign module and is used to categorize pledge campaigns.
- Pledge Level Codes: This code is used in conjunction with the Pledge Campaign module and is used to categorize pledges.
Website Codes:
- Web Content Type: This code is used to organize various types of web content, such as images, reports, documents, etc.
- Ecommerce Codes: These codes are used to configure additional options added to an eCommerce item, like Categories, Shipping Types, Item Types, Custom Fields, and Option Types.
- News Article Types: This code is used to classify different types of news articles.
- Coupon Types: This code is used to create various coupon types, which are used to host multiple coupon programs at the same time.
