Introduction
When setting up an event, you can attach Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to any registration item. Profiles that are flagged as having attended will then be assigned the appropriate CEUs based on the event items. You can also manually add CEUs to a profile in the Certifications tab for that profile.
Before adding CEUs to an event item or profile, you need to set up the different CEU Credit Types (categories/classifications of CEUs) in the Admin section.
Adding CEU Credit Types
- Click on the Admin menu and Manage Codes.
- Click on the Member Codes tab and CEU Credit Types.
- Click Add a CEU Credit Type.
- Enter the Name of this CEU Credit Type.
- Enter a Description, if desired, for more context.
- For the Accreditation Cycle, enter the number of months for which this CEU Type is valid. For example, enter 12 if the CEU Type is valid for 1 year after it is earned.
Enter 0 if this CEU Type should never expire.
- Click Save.
Editing CEU Credit Types
- Click on the Admin menu and Manage Codes.
- Click on the Member Codes tab and CEU Credit Types.
- Next to the CEU Credit Type, click Actions, and Edit.
- After making the desired changes, click Save.
Deleting CEU Credit Types
Exercise caution because this cannot be undone.
- Click on the Admin menu and Manage Codes.
- Click on the Member Codes tab and CEU Credit Types.
- Next to the CEU Credit Type, click Actions, and Delete.
- Click Delete to confirm.
