Editing Attendees in the Member Portal

This will require the new portal, so if you are still using the legacy member portal, you will need to enable the new portal or upgrade all web components.

When your members log into their portal, they will see a panel on the home page called My Events.

The shows every event where this member is an attendee or has access to edit the profile assigned to the organization behind the registration.

The option to "Edit Attendees" will appear next to each event if you enabled the option to "Allow Editing Of Attendees In Portal" (Registration Settings) and only next to events that are in the future.

After clicking Edit Attendees, as the attendee, you will be able to edit your information, you will be able to edit any of the attendee information.

The fields that appear for your event may be different than this example. It will depend on what you set as visible and required in MC Trade (Registration Fields).

  • Related Profile Lookup: This allows you to choose a related profile which will auto-fill the information below (if entered on the related profile).
  • First Name and Last Name: This is the name of the attendee.
  • Organization Name: This is the name of the attendee's organization.
  • Email: This is the email address of the attendee.
  • Title: This is the title of the attendee, if applicable.

  • Address and Address 2: This is the address for the attendee (up to 2 lines).
  • City: This is the attendee's city.
  • State/Province: This is the attendee's state/province.
  • Zip/Postal Code: This is the attendee's zip/postal code.
  • Phone: This is the attendee's phone number.

  • Event Items: This is the event item(s) that this person is attending.
  • Custom Fields (Additional Selections): This shows any custom fields for the selected event items.

Although you can see event items and custom fields, anything with a cost CANNOT be edited from this screen. In the example above, the free beverage does not have a cost, so it can be edited.

After clicking Save to commit any changes.

  • The changes are made automatically and do NOT require approval.
  • A notification email will be sent to the email addresses under Event Notifications that lists all submitted changes.
