Based on customer feedback, we're improving the event registration experience for your members! On January 2nd, 2025, you'll see a number of new features in the Event configuration screens, as well as a new and improved registration workflow. No need to "upgrade" or opt in to the new format.
If you are still using the legacy member portal, you will need to enable the new portal OR upgrade all web components to take advantage of the new event registration features.
The features and functionality of your existing events will continue to work exactly the same, with an updated look and feel on the public registration page. Details are below and there is also a Q&A.

Online registration is getting a facelift! We've revamped the flow of signing up for an event to look cleaner and more modern (especially on mobile!), improved the item selection and attendee assignment screens, and made it easier to log in at any point during registration.

Event Reminders: set up reminders using dynamic event fields that can be automatically sent to all attendees a certain number of days before or after the event
New multi-day event settings: set your events that occur over multiple days to have unique start/end times per day, or set them as All Day Events and hide the start/end times entirely on the calendar, event details page, as well as registration and confirmation pages:
Duplicate Registration Check: when submitting a registration, the system will now check each event to see if any attendees are already registered for the event, based on exact name + organization OR email address match. Registrants will be notified that the attendees are already registered, and can cancel out of the registration or choose to override and continue registering.
Member Portal attendee edits and cancellations: you can now configure any event to allow editing of the registration(s) for that event in the Member Portal! When registrants are logged in, they will have the ability to edit the names and contact info of any attendees on an existing registration, including adding any missing names for tables, etc.
Cancellation of the full registration will also be available for you to enable for any event, and you can configure whether the payment is refunded or a credit (unapplied payment) is applied for the amount of the registration.
Registration List View: the list of "cards" containing all registrant information will have an additional view added, showing all registrations in a grid that can be sorted and searched easily for convenient event management. Both the current card view and the list view will be available to toggle based on your preference
Additional Event Features:
- Event Item Descriptions: you can now add additional text/explanation to each event item to appear when registering in the Select Items screen
- Quick-add to link or create a profile directly from the Registration list view without editing the full registration
- Fixed bugs and inefficiencies

After our initial launch of the updates above, we'll continue to add features and improvements based on your feedback! These items are currently planned to be released throughout the first quarter of 2025:

Prevent registration or member pricing for past-due members - If an event registrant has an overdue amount, they will not be able to register for any events until the balance has been paid.
