Managing HTML Templates

Any number of templates can be created to control the look of communications and event descriptions.

Several responsive newsletter email templates are pre-loaded in MC Trade with different layouts. Edit the existing templates or copy and paste them to create new templates.

Landing Page

Select the Admin menu > Global Settings. The HTML Templates tab will open automatically.

All uploaded templates, in addition to the provided templates, will appear in the grid.

Next to each template is an Actions button to edit or delete the template.

Adding a Template

1. Select +Add an HTML Template.

2. Enter a Name.
3. Choose an Assigned To to limit access to a specific user. Otherwise, leave it undefined so that the template is available to all users.
4. Use the HTML Editor to design the template.

To use code from a third-party designer, select the Source button, paste the code, then select Source again to see the result.

5. Select Save. The template will now be available when sending email from MC Trade.

Copying a Template

To copy an existing template, open the editor for a template and copy the content, then add a new template, and paste the content. From the landing page:

1. Next to the template that you want to copy, click Actions and Edit.

2. Click in the HTML editor box below, select everything (Ctrl+A), and copy the content (Ctrl+C).
3. Select Cancel.
4. Select Add an HTML Template.

5. Click in the HTML editor box below and paste the content.
6. Enter a Name.
7. Choose an Assigned To to limit access to a specific user. Otherwise leave it undefined so that the template is available to all users.
8. Back in the HTML Editor, make any desired adjustments to the pasted content.
9. Select Save.

Editing a Template

To edit an existing template, from the landing page:

1. Next to the relevant template, select Actions and Edit.

2. Make the desired changes.
3. Select Save.

Deleting a Template

This CANNOT be undone.

To delete an existing template, from the landing page:

1. Next to the template that you want to delete, click Actions and Delete.

2. Click Delete to confirm.
