Managing Events:
Creating and Configuring Events:
Creating events through MC Trade is a great way to network with members, advertise membership to non-members, and more. Many types of events can be created through MC Trade, including virtual events, in-person events for small groups, large conferences, and more.
Once an event is created, it will appear on the dashboard. Events can be edited through any of the tabs under Event Settings.
There is also the option to view a breakdown of registrations or attendees.
Finding an Event
- Select the Events menu > Select Events.
- The events will appear as cards below.
The event name and ID will appear at the top of the card. Select the name to open the event.
If an event is not appearing, adjust any of the following:
- Date range: This filters the event's start date. By default, the range is set for today to one year from today.
- Event Type: If necessary, choose an event type based on your organization's list of event types, which can be selected in the General Settings of each event.
- Calendar Types: Place a check next to Organization, Community, Members Only, and/or Internal. This refers to the calendar type(s) selected in the General Settings of each event.
- View All with Pending Registrations: Place a check next to this to include events that are not assigned to a profile.
Click Search to apply these changes to the cards below.
Creating an Event
If an event is recurring, copy the event to use the same configuration settings, then adjust the date, time, location, etc.
- Click on the Events menu > Create New Event.
- For the Event Name, enter the name of the event.
- Choose a Start Date and Start Time.
- Choose an End Date and End Time.
- If this is an all day event, check All Day Event to remove the time.
- If the start time and end time are different for one or more days (i.e., a multi-day event) then place a check next to Set Hours of Each Day Separately.
Set Hours of Each Day Separately will only appear when the Start Date and End Date are different. Enter a start time and end time for each day.
- Select Save.
Once saved, the new event will open with the name and date/time saved and display on the Event Dashboard. At this point, the event exists but still needs to be configured.
The list below identifies the major settings areas to be configured:

Event Items
This section shows a list of the event items.
- Number Sold: Number of tickets sold to that event.
- Attendee Count: Number of attendees that have registered.
These stats are separated as the number of tickets does not always equal the number of attendees. One ticket could be for 4 attendees. With 1 ticket sold, these figures would be different. Number Sold: 1 Attendee Count: 4.
- Attendee Name Unknown Count: Number of attendees that were registered without a name.
- Amount Invoiced: The total amount invoices for that event item.
- Amount Paid: The total amount paid for that event item.
- Clicking the magnifying glass next to an event item lead to the Registrations tab and automatically search for attendees that registered for that event item.
