Introduction

The Membership tab is found in the Data Insights interface.

It contains three tabs with different sets of Membership-related data.

  • Membership shows basic summary information for your member profiles.
  • Metrics shows an evaluation of member data against key metrics such as member age, revenue, event attendance, and staff assigned.
  • Engagement shows average engagement levels on four engagement metrics grouped by members who are current/retained, and those who have dropped in the past. These charts visualize the most impactful engagement factors when compared to each other and not just individually.

To prevent performance issues, your data is not being pulled in real-time. It is pulled nightly.

There are controls that change the behavior of every panel and panel options to see more information or to export that panel. Click here for more information.

Renewal Amounts by Date

The sum of adjusted payment amounts (y-axis) for invoices that have a dues type revenue item and a payment date that is during the timeframe at the bottom.

This will only reflect invoices for members who are at least 1 year old (that have a Member Since date that is at least 1 year prior to the current date).

Joins/Drops by Date

Total number of member activity records (y-axis) that have an Add (Join) Code or Drop Code as the activity type, and an activity date during the timeframe at the bottom.

Membership Count by Membership Level

Total number of members (x-axis) in each membership level.

Membership Age with Membership Level Breakdown

Total number of members (y-axis) with the member age at the bottom (x-axis).

Member age is how long (in years) the profile has been a member based on the Member Since date.

Also, in each bar, there are blocks of different colors, which indicate the membership level. Move the mouse over each block to see the specific total.

From the example above, the second bar is rising to 20 (y-axis), with a 1 underneath it. This means 20 profiles have been members for at least 1 year. If we hover over each color, we can see details:

  • General Member: 4 profiles
  • Associate Member: 13 profiles
  • Hotel Members: 3 profiles

Highest Count of Member Categories

This shows the top 20 directory listing categories of member profiles.

Move the mouse over each slice to see the specific total.

This will only reflect the listing that is marked as the Primary Listing.

This visualization is particularly easier to see when maximized.

Highest Dues Value of Member Categories

This finds the top 20 directory listing categories of member profiles and then shows the sum of annual dues for each profile. If we hover over a slice, we can see details.

From the example above, Restaurants and Dining have the largest slice.

If we hover over it, we see that Restaurants and Dining has a sum of 61.55k (28% of the graph).

This visualization is particularly easier to see when maximized.

Drops by Month with Type Breakdown

Total number of drops during the timeframe at the bottom.

This is determined by the number of activity records with a Drop Code as the activity type. The total number of drops will be grouped by each activity type and reflected as a different color.

Renewals by Years as a Member

Each point represents one or more profiles, reflecting their member age (x-axis), compared to their total adjusted payment amount for dues (y-axis).

Member age is how long (in years) the profile has been a member based on the Member Since date.

Dues are based on invoices that have a dues type revenue item and a payment date during the timeframe at the top of the tab (Controls).

Hovering over a point will show the member age (in years) and total adjusted amount.

Drop by Years as a Member

The average member age (x-axis) for profiles that have dropped in each drop type (reason).

Member age is how long (in years) the profile has been a member based on the Member Since date.

Drops are based on the number of activity records with a Drop Code as the activity type during the timeframe at the top of the tab (Controls).

Move the mouse over each bar to see the specific total.

Events Attended by NEW Members

This will find all event signups for the timeframe at the bottom (x-axis), for member profiles that have a Member Since date less than a year from the current date.

It will group the signups by Event Type and calculate the total number of signups per type (y-axis).

This does not factor in whether or not the signup was marked as attended. It is about signup count and not attendee count.

Move the mouse over each bar to see the specific total.

Events Attended by DROPPED Members - Past 3 Years

This will find all event signups in the past 3 years, for each timeframe at the bottom (x-axis), and for former members (non-member profiles that have a Member Since date).

It will group the signups by Event Type and calculate the total number of signups per type (y-axis).

This does not factor in whether or not the signup was marked as attended. It is about signup count and not attendee count.

Average Values by Assigned To User - Members

This will find all profiles that are members, show the Assigned To user’s name, and the number of member profiles to which this user is assigned (profile_profileid).

For all of the user's assigned member profiles, it will also show the average member age (memberage), average number of full time employees (profile_employeesft), and average annual dues (profile_annualdues).

Average Values by Assigned To User - Dropped Members

This will find all profiles that have dropped), show the Assigned To user’s name, and the number of dropped profiles to which this user is assigned (profile_profileid).

For all of the user's assigned profiles that dropped, it will also show the average member age (memberage), average number of full time employees (profile_employeesft), and average annual dues (profile_annualdues).

Average Event Sign-Ups: Dropped vs Current Members

Average count of event signups per member profile compared to average count of event signups per profile that dropped.

Member profiles means profiles where the more recent Member Activity was a join and dropped profiles means profiles where the more recent Member Activity was a drop.

Average count of portal logins per member profile compared to average count of portal logins per profile that dropped. Both calculations include related profile logins.

Member profiles means profiles where the more recent Member Activity was a join and dropped profiles means profiles where the more recent Member Activity was a drop.

Average Count of Emails Read: Dropped vs Current Members

Average count of emails read (marked as opened) for member profiles compared to average count of emails read for profiles that dropped. Both calculations include emails read by related profiles.

Member profiles means profiles where the more recent Member Activity was a join and dropped profiles means profiles where the more recent Member Activity was a drop.

Average count of profiles with a primary relationship to member profiles compared to the average count of primary relationships to profiles that dropped.

Average Credit Card vs Other Payment Types: Dropped vs Current Members

Average count of credit card payments and other payment types for member profiles compared to average count of credit card payments and other payment types for profiles that have dropped.

Member profiles means profiles where the more recent Member Activity was a join and dropped profiles means profiles where the more recent Member Activity was a drop.

Average Days to Pay Dues Invoices: Dropped vs Current Members

Average count of days that passed before a dues invoice was paid by a member profile compared to days that passed before a dues invoice was paid by profiles that dropped.

Member profiles means profiles where the more recent Member Activity was a join and dropped profiles means profiles where the more recent Member Activity was a drop.
