Calendar Views

The calendar has two views which can be toggled in the top right corner:

  • Event List shows a list of events for one month at a time and includes the start and end time.
    • In the top left corner, the Today button will jump to the week that contains today, so if you go to another week, you can quickly jump back to the present.
    • Also in the top left corner, the left and right arrow buttons will move back a week or forward.
  • Month shows a calendar view for one month at a time.
    • In the top left corner, the Today button will jump to the month that contains today, so if you go to another month, you can quickly jump back to the present. Today will be highlighted.
    • Also in the top left corner, the left and right arrow buttons will move back a month or forward.

When viewing a month, if a day has more than one event, you will see +1 more.

Clicking +1 more will open a small window with all events for that day.

Note that the colored bullets next to each event will default to your branding settings, or if you have configured a "Color" value in the Event Type (Admin > Manage Codes, then click Event Types > Event Codes), the bullet will be in the color of that event's selected Event Type.

Any event that spans multiple days will have a blue bar as shown below:

  • Calendar Type: This is a list of the three calendar types: Community, Members Only, and Organization. If do you not select any of the calendar types then you will see all calendar types. If you do not select any of the calendar types then you will see all event types. If you select one or more calendar types then you will only see the selected types.

Summary Window

The calendar will show the start time and event name, but you can view more details by clicking on the event. A window will pop up with some more information for the event.

This window will contain the following (if defined on the event):

  • Event name
  • Short description
  • Location (the profile)
  • Address, City, State, and Zip Code
  • Date of the event
  • Start time - End time (time zone)
  • Sponsor logos, with a tooltip of the organization name when hovering over the logo

Underneath that will be two buttons:

  • View Event Details: goes to the event content page with all details for that event
  • Register for Event: only displays if Disable Registration is not checked, skips straight to the registration page.
