Finding a Profile
- Click on the Profiles menu and Select Profiles.
- Find the profile using the Quick Search field or the Profile Selector.

- Quick Search: At the top is a search field to enter the profile name or ID.
You can also find this Quick Search field at the top of the dashboard and several screens throughout MC Trade.

- Profile Selector: On this screen (Select Profiles), underneath the Quick Search, is the Profile Selector. It has several tabs (left side) and you can add search fields to one or more tabs to generate a list of profiles that meet certain criteria. Click here for more information.
- Open the profile by clicking on the name.
Adding a Profile
Profiles can be added manually in MC Trade following the steps in this article. They can also be added automatically by a join form or added manually from the portal.
- When you add a profile, you will indicate if it is an organization or individual.
- You will also classify the profile as a member, non-member, or prospect.
- The options to add a member or add a prospect are in the Profiles menu for convenience.
- The non-member profile must be added with the New Profile button on one of the profile screens.
- You can also add a member or prospect using the New Profile button if you prefer.
Adding a Member
- Click on the Profiles menu and Add a Member.
- Choose the type of profile: Organization or Individual.
- Enter the Organization Name or the individual's First name and Last Name.
- Choose Member.
When adding an organization, you will notice a Sort Name field. If you would like more information, please refer to the Breakdown of All Name Fields.
- Click Continue.
If you clicked Save and Close instead of clicking Continue then please refer to Changing an Existing Profile to a Member.
- Choose the Member Activity to show more detail about this change.
- Choose the Member Activity Date to show when this change occurred.
- Choose the Membership Level.
This is optional, but recommended. Setting this will automatically update the Profile Status, Affiliation Codes, Billings, Benefits, and any other settings you configured at the membership level.
- Click Continue.
Repeat 1-8 to add more.
Adding a Non-Member
- Click on the Profiles menu and Select Profiles.
- In the top right corner, click New Profile.
- Choose the type of profile: Organization or Individual.
- Enter the Organization Name or the individual's First Name and Last Name.
- Choose Non-Member.
When adding an organization, you will notice a Sort Name field. If you would like more information, please refer to the Breakdown of All Name Fields.
- Click Continue or Save and Close.
Repeat 2-5 to add more.
Adding a Prospect
- Click on the Profiles menu and Add a Prospect.
- Choose the type of profile: Organization or Individual.
- Enter the Organization Name or the individual's First Name and Last Name.
- Choose Prospect.
When adding an organization, you will notice a Sort Name field. If you would like more information, please refer to the Breakdown of All Name Fields.
- Click Continue or Save and Close.
Repeat 1-5 to add more.
Editing a Profile
- Find and open the profile.
- You may make changes to the Profile View screen by clicking one of the options in the corner of a panel (see example of two panels in the screenshot below).
If you make changes to a panel, it will either allow you to make changes from a pop up window or another screen. In either case, when you make the change, it is saved. You do not have to go back to the profile and click Save again.
- If you trying to edit information (address, phone number, changing the membership level, listing information, billing records, portal login information, and more) then on the left, click Edit Profile to go to the Profile Edit screen.
- After making all of your changes, click Save Profile to return to the Profile View screen.
Repeat steps 1-4 to change another profile.
Deleting a Profile
- Find and open the profile.
- On the left, click Edit Profile.
- Click on the Delete Profile tab at the bottom.
- Click Delete This Profile.
- Click Delete This Profile to confirm.
