The table assignment field is stored in each Attendee. You can view/update a single attendee's table assignment field by editing the attendee and clicking Miscellaneous Fields to expand all system custom field values, including the table number.
To assign multiple attendees to a table at once, select the attendee(s) for the table you would like to assign. You can use the name search and/or advanced search to limit the list, or select from the full list of attendees.
With the attendees selected in the grid, select "Assign Table for Selected Attendees" from the actions dropdown. The Table Name field appears.
Enter a value for the table for the selected attendees. This can be any number or text.
Click the "go" arrow to execute. The value will be saved to the Table Number field for each selected attendee.
