Release Notes 25.6 - 2/7/2025

As part of our commitment to your success, we're happy to announce several improvements to MC Trade to help you manage your organization more efficiently and effectively. We will roll out these changes to all customers on February 7, 2025.

IMPORTANT PUBLIC EVENT REGISTRATION UPDATE

Recently a bug in our public registration workflow caused an issue for some registrations in which an invoice and payment (if applicable) are successfully created, but the system is unable to complete the registration, resulting in payments/invoices without a corresponding event registration. This issue was intermittent and happened randomly for approximately 5% of event registrations. To see if you were affected by this bug, please click here and follow the instructions to find any potential missing registrations.

To ensure this issue does not happen moving forward, this release will introduce a change to the way declined credit cards are handled on the registration page. If a credit card is declined by the processing gateway, the registration will still be successfully created with an open invoice, and the registrant will be notified that the card was declined. Payment will need to be made through the online bill pay portal or by contacting the association.

This is only a temporary measure - the development team is working urgently to address this issue as well, and a future release will update this workflow so that declined cards do NOT result in a registration and the registrant can attempt to enter payment again (without re-introducing the issue outlined above).

Dynamic Event Invoice Due Date

Based on client feedback, we have added a new option to the Event Item Due Date setting that allows you to set a dynamic due date on invoices that get created through the registration process, based on the registration date. If this new setting is enabled, any invoice that gets created from an event item using that setting will have the due date set to "x" number of days after registration. Click here to learn more.

This release also includes the following enhancements and fixes:

  • Fixed an issue with multi-day event start times displaying incorrectly for certain timezones
  • Fixed an issue with legacy event scroller widgets linking to new events
  • Fixed an issue with the Export Search Results .csv file including too many results
  • Updated the public registration workflow to hide the event attendees screen when there are no attendees (e.g. sponsorships, etc.)
  • Fixed an issue preventing Contact Type codes from containing special characters
  • Updated Certifications to require Certification Type on save
  • Fixed an issue copying events with payment method options set to old event items
