As part of our commitment to your success, we're happy to announce several improvements to MC Trade to help you manage your organization more efficiently and effectively. We will roll out these changes to all customers on March 1, 2025.
IMPORTANT PCI COMPLIANCE UPDATE
To maintain compliance with PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) version 4.0, MC Trade is implementing several enhanced security features. These changes ensure that your organization meets important industry standards of data protection and privacy for your member data. Starting on March 1st, all MC Trade users will be prompted to update their password upon login, to meet higher password security requirements. Click here to learn more.
Public Registration Credit Card charges: update to pre-authorization
In the 25.7 release, we introduced a temporary measure to help reduce the number of registrations going through with credit card charges being declined by adding a $0 "pre-authorization" transaction to validate the card info. Due to some processors rejecting the $0 amount, we are increasing the pre-authorization to $0.01 for the time being. We expect to remove this pre-authorization in an upcoming release entirely as we put a longer-term fix in place.
Allow Members To Request Cancellation of Automatic Recurring Billing in Member Portal
We’ve introduced a new feature that allows members to request the cancellation of active automatic recurring billings directly from the member portal. When enabled in Global Settings, members will see the option to submit a cancellation request for any automatic recurring billing. Once submitted, an email notification will be sent to the admin email address listed under "Online Bill Pay Notifications." Click here to learn more.
Allow Members To Cancel Event Registration in Member Portal
We’ve introduced a new feature that allows members to cancel their event registration directly from the member portal. When enabled in Event Settings, members will see a "Cancel" button next to events they are registered for. Admins can configure refund or unapplied payment settings to manage any payments associated with cancelled registrations. Click here to learn more.
