Introduction
MC Trade (formerly Weblink Connect) is based on the Microsoft .NET Framework and as such is already compatible with Windows 10/11 . However, the existing installer has a few additional instructions that must be followed when installing on Windows 10/11.
Because Windows 10/11 is an entirely new user experience, we have included detailed instructions for finding and changing settings options in Windows 10/11.
System Requirements
Desktop Connect must be installed on a Windows Operating System. If using a different Operating System (i.e. Apple iOS), you will at least need access to a virtual desktop instance running a Windows Operating System where you can download and run Desktop Connect. Third-party applications such as Parallels or Bootcamp can be used to accomplish this.

Pre-Installation
.NET Framework 3.5 must be installed and activated on Windows. Please use the following steps to check this and activate it if needed.
- Click the Windows menu icon on your task bar and start typing to search.
- Search for “Turn Windows features on or off”
- Click on the “Turn Windows features on or off” in the results area
- Make sure that the box for .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) is checked.
Installation Files
Please follow the steps below to install Crystal Reports Viewer FIRST and then Desktop Connect.

- 32-Bit Operating System: 32-Bit Installer

Installer Steps
If you are re-installing after an error or under advisement of the Support Team, please be sure you have uninstalled the program and deleted the WebLinkConnect folder according to the instructions here.
If the file shows an error or warning message, select the option to Keep the file, then select Download Anyway.
- Open setup.exe.
- Click Next to the following setup screen, then Next again to come to the installation screen, where it will prompt to select Next one more time to install.
- During the installation, a prompt will appear asking for a license key to complete the download.
- Choose Close on the MC Trade installation screen to complete the download process.
Once the installation is complete, you may now run WebLink Connect by clicking on its Live Tile on your Windows 10/11 Start Screen.
Troubleshooting
Issue #1: If you are receiving an error during installation, please try the following steps:
- Disable any Anti-Virus Software
- Disable any Firewall Software
Issue #2: If you are experiencing display issues after logging in, please click here and follow the steps to adjust your display settings.
