Firewall and Port Requirements

What system requirements are there in terms of my computer's firewall and port?

Answer

WebLink Connect (MC Trade) uses certain IP ports to communicate with our hosted servers. If you use a firewall or proxy server to connect to the Internet, you must configure your connection so that the ports used by MC Trade are not blocked.

TCP Ports used:

PORT NUMBER: DESCRIPTION

TCP Port 21: Standard FTP command connection - this port is used by the Web Template Manager to update files on your site.

TCP Port 80: Standard HTTP website connection - this port is the primary port for browsing websites.

TCP Port 443: Standard HTTPS website connection - this port is used for SSL connections for both your website and MC Trade.

TCP Port 1433: Microsoft SQL Server connection - this port is used by MC Trade to connect to your back end database.
