Edit a sponsor scroller on your website

If you have a header or footer on your website that dynamically scrolls images (usually sponsor logos), you'll need to edit those slightly differently than you edit other content, to make sure the scrolling function does not break.

If you are going to be adding a new image, you need to first upload that image:

1. Go to Communications > Manage Web Content.

2. Click New Web Content. Enter a title, choose Image as the Format, and assign it to a Content Type (commonly, the content type is Sponsors).

3. Click Upload File, and find the image file on your local files/network. Click Save. NOTE: before uploading the image, make sure that you have formatted and sized it appropriately.  You can see what dimensions the other logos on your site use by right-clicking on them and choosing "View Image Info" (or "Properties," depending on your browser).

4. If the image you just uploaded isn't visible in the grid, enter all or part of the title and click Run This Search. Locate the content, then click Copy URL.

Adding a New Sponsor to the Scroller:

1. Under Communication > Manage Web Content, Click New Web Content.  In the Title field, type the Sponsor's name. From the Format drop down menu, choose HTML.  From the Content Type drown down, choose Sponsors.

2. Use the editor to add the image that you want to display. Use the image button mceclip0.png in the HTML editor.  Paste the URL of a web content image (see steps above to upload a new image).  The "alternative text" for the image will display if the image does not load.

3. Once you have inserted an image, click on it, and then select the hyperlink symbol in the toolbar. Enter the link of the website you want to redirect someone to when they click on that image (usually the sponsors website).

4. Click Save.

Editing an Existing Sponsor's Image or URL within the Scroller

1. Under Communication > Manage Web Content, choose HTML from the Format menu, and then choose Sponsors from the Content Type menu, and then click the "Run this Search" button

2. Click Edit next to the Sponsor you wish to edit.

3.  To update the image, use the editor to delete the old image, and add the new image that you want to display.  Use the image button mceclip0.png in the HTML editor.  Paste the URL of a web content image (see steps above to upload a new image).  The "alternative text" for the image will display if the image does not load.
To update the link where the image will redirect to when clicked, click on the image, and then select the hyperlink symbol in the toolbar. Enter the link of the website you want to redirect someone to when they click on that image (usually the sponsors website).
4. Click Save.
