When a new sign up is submitted through your event registration module, two links are automatically included in Atlas's default confirmation web page and email message. The links allow the user to download an Outlook calendar file to send to their Outlook calendar, and/or add the event to their Google calendar.
If your organization has customized the default Event Confirmation message in your admin settings, you will need to add a dynamic link placeholder to your custom message. In the Event Settings screen, add [[ADDTOCALENDARLINKS]] anywhere in your message to include these links. Click here for more details.
Add to Outlook Calendar: this link will download an .ics file (Outlook file) that the user can then send to their calendar of choice. If clicked on from the email, the link will open a web browser page with the .ics file available to open:
When the user clicks on/opens the .ics file, they'll see an Outlook meeting invite for them to save to their calendar and/or send to another email address.
Add to Google Calendar: this link will open a new Google Calendar event, with all of your event information displayed. if the user is not logged in to their Google account they will be prompted to enter their email and password, then they can click Save on the event to add it to their calendar.
