Refund a Duplicate Registration / Charge for an Event

This article only relates to the Legacy Event Module, which was replaced in 2013. Only use this article if you use the old Event Module.


We had a member register and pay for an event online in WebLink. By mistake they registered twice. The charge has not been processed and I only accepted the one reservation. Should I void the charge to be processed and adjust the payment in Weblink or is there a better way? Please let me know ASAP as I will need to void the second charge.


If you reject the second sign up, you will be directed to the screen for a credit card refund. With the sign up selected, click in the Actions dropdown and choose Delete Selected Sign Up. You can then complete the refund process and refund the money back to the member's credit card.
