Keep Emergency Services Running by Connecting Your Members With Local Community

The economic impact of COVID-19 is being felt in every community. As more and more people become unemployed, the importance of finding the right fit for the remaining essential emergency industries and services becomes evident. Connecting your members with the local community is key.

One way to help make the connections is through your Member Directory by creating a “Now Hiring” affiliation code for those crucial essential businesses requiring a boost in staff. You can add a graphic to the affiliation code so that the listing stands out (Click here to download one you can use), and an affiliation code search filter (under Admin->Set Preferences->Online Directory Settings->Search Page Settings and click “Extras”). This will give members who are currently hiring the ability to be found quickly and easily by community members looking for work.

You can increase your members’ engagement with the community at large by using our job board solution – a quick and easy way to administer job postings for your members with zero up-front costs. The job board’s resume bank also allows your members to quickly zero in on the best candidate for the role, so that vacancies are kept to an absolute minimum.

You can even bring it full circle and add a direct link to the posting on your members’ directory listing – add the hyperlink (in raw HTML) to the short description field in the listing settings (Right-click on the listing in the Profile Browser->Business Description). Having the job linked to the directory listing as well as through your job board maximizes exposure.
